At Kids Crossing, our Young Toddlers start learning basic classroom routines, developing basic social skills and enjoying a variety of learning experiences. We help them develop a sense of self-awareness and learn about their rapidly changing environment as they develop the skills required to deal with these exciting new changes in their life.
Each child has individualized lessons and goals that enhance their basic knowledge and skills. This classroom is their first introduction to our toddler curriculum where they will learn about circle time, playtime with age appropriate educational toys, imitating and pretending, stories and books, connecting with music and movement, creating art, sign language, small and gross motor skill activities, and exploring the outdoors. The combination of these activities provides the perfect atmosphere for growing minds and a seamless transition into our toddler program.
Each of our classrooms has an open door policy which encourages parents to be an active part of their child’s care and learning. Parents are welcome throughout the day to just observe, to interact with their child in the classroom, or with notice, to join us for lunch.

Co-Lead Teacher, Sarah Daniel
My name is Sarah Daniel and I am so excited and blessed to be taking this opportunity to be a Co-Lead Toddler Teacher at Kids Crossing Early Learning Center. I have been teaching in childcare centers since 2002 and was a nanny for 4.5 years until the kids were old enough to go to school. I am currently up to date on CPR/First Aid and am a level 7 on the registry. I took a class at Madison College to reach this level. I am hoping to finish my infant/toddler credential in the future. I have also take several other early education courses, am up to date on my yearly education hours, and have several other certifications. I grew up in Winona, MN, graduated from high school in 1999 then took early childhood education courses in college. I married my husband Chris in August 2001. We moved to Illinois for a few years then moved again to Sun Prairie, where we lived until 2012. In 2012, we moved yet again to Madison where we reside with our animals. We have 3 small dogs and a Guinea Pig. In my spare time I love to travel around the world and enjoy the outdoors. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
