At Kids Crossing, our infant program offers a nurturing and stimulating environment designed to meet the needs of each child from 6 weeks to 12 months. Personalized feeding times and schedules help each child develop at his or her own pace. Time is spent both inside and outside and children are encouraged to explore their world in our safe and loving environment.
Our infant curriculum includes age appropriate educational toys, literacy and books, exercise, games, sensory, sign language, songs, tummy time, and individualized goals. The combination of these activities provides the perfect atmosphere for supporting cognition and brain development for their growing minds and bodies.
Each of our classrooms has an open door policy which encourages parents to be an active part of their child’s care and learning. Parents are welcome throughout the day to just observe, to interact with their child in the classroom, or with notice, to join us for lunch.

Lead Teacher, Jessica Liska
"Hi, my name is Jessica Liska, I am so excited to be the new Lead Infant Teacher. I was born in Madison and adopted in 1993. My career in childcare started in 2008 when I decided to stop being a stay at home mom. I started out as an assistant in the infant and toddlers for the Scott County YMCA Learning Center in Davenport, IA. From there I went to school for my Childcare Development Associates degree in infants and toddlers before moving home in 2012. As a side note, I am also currently wrapping up my Bachelors in Human Service Management with a concentration in Children and Families. Once in Madison, I continued as an infant teacher, following my students up through the preschool room. For the last 3.5 years I have worked as Lead Preschool teacher. I am so excited to be starting over! I am a single mother of two wonderful kids. My son Raven is 13 and entering 8th grade. My daughter Lexi is 9 and entering 4th. I am an avid reader of Sci-Fi novels and can be often found with my nose buried in my kindle (or better yet, a book) or taking my dogs to the dog park. Oh, did I mention I rescue ferrets in my free time! Besides my 2 kids and 2 dogs, I also have 2 cats and a hedgehog. I am so excited to bond with the Kids Crossing family and watch the infants grow and learn! Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
